A woman called and asked me to do a design for her that she would then have tattooed permanently. The idea made me a bit nervous. But I was up for the challenge. She was great to work with. We worked on the design concept together and modified it as we went, making sure to get it just right! I encouraged her to talk to her tattoo artist to make final changes to the design for the real tattoo. She sent me the pictures a few days later. The tattoo came out just beautiful. I'm so thrilled I was able to have a hand in making it happen! |
I am particularly happy with the genuine henna like feel of the final tattoo. I have seen some henna style real tattoos before and never felt like they really captured the organic and natural feel of a henna tattoo. We even discussed this during our appointment. This client and tattoo artist were willing to allow the minor imperfections that a natural henna tattoo has. The not totally perfect lines, and slightly irregular dots. The variation in the shading. The minor variations in spacing and size of design elements. This tattoo is the closest real tattoo rendition of henna I have ever seen. Hats off to the client and the artist. |
