Thank you Susan Landes for inviting me to be a part of your DBT group therapy. As a part of her DBT groups, Susan helps members learn about mindfulness. The art of henna and the experience of having a design drawn on your skin brings the individual into the here and now moment. Waiting for the paste to stain the skin and the design to develop it color requires patience. This ancient art has always brought me peace and joy, and I am thankful I was given the opportunity to share it with the group that evening.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Living Social Adventures as the henna artist for their Night in Morocco event at Casa Blanca restaurant. The owner of Casa Blanca, Morit, has a wonderful sense of humor and his hospitality is unsurpassed. They are truly committed to helping others and have taught me a lot about the tradition of henna in Morocco. I have had the please of eating there myself in the past and I highly recommend this place for a wonderfully unique night of dining.
