August has been a busy month. A couple parties and several individual designs.
I was honored to be a part of a pre breast cancer surgery celebration. What a fun way to celebrate a birthday. Have some friends and family over for an impromptu mini henna party. In a half hour all these ladies got lovely henna tattoos. Happy Sweet 16!
I did henna and glitter at a recent baby shower. I had a wonderful time. I even got to try alligator and kangaroo meat! What an Adventure. In the spirit of adventure, I tried out one of my favorite elephant designs.
Keely has been a friend for many years, so I was especially excited when she told me she was pregnant. Luckily she was able to make it out to California to visit during her 8th month.
Im looking forward to meeting your little bundle of joy. This is a new hand or bridal mehndi design I did this week.
I've been playing around with how to create new designs when I don't have a clean hand to henna. I didn't realize just how different doing henna on paper would be to real, three diminutional hand. The dye bled considerably on the plain white paper. I think I'll try card stock or thick art paper next. Luckily I snapped a photo before the paste all fell off. |
