Thank you Susan Landes for inviting me to be a part of your DBT group therapy. As a part of her DBT groups, Susan helps members learn about mindfulness. The art of henna and the experience of having a design drawn on your skin brings the individual into the here and now moment. Waiting for the paste to stain the skin and the design to develop it color requires patience. This ancient art has always brought me peace and joy, and I am thankful I was given the opportunity to share it with the group that evening.
